Music Tuesday - Karaoke Hits

When I visit my sister Jo in Wellington we love to get together with her friends, have Japanese for dinner then go for a night of karaoke. We go to a great place where you hire your own room, so no getting embarrassed about singing in front of strangers. You also get a tambourine that lights up. It's the little things that count you know.
These are some of my favourite karaoke hits. Please share yours!

And for a fantastic wedding dance rendition of Time of My Life click here. This makes me grin from ear to ear.

By the way - has anyone heard the new Damien Rice album?

I've only heard some songs off the DR album. My friends are seeing him in NYC tonight! Lucky.

I've done karaoke a few times. "Summer Nights" from Grease, "Somewhere Out There", "Wishing I Was There", "Hotel California", and "When I See You Smile" were the ones I've sang. But if I could do it right now, it'd be "You Oughta Know" or "Wannabe". :)

Yes your friends are very lucky! Let me know what they think.
Wannabe is actually hard to sing. The Spice Girls made it look easy! :)

I can't believe I'm going to do this, but here's a link to a clip of me singing "Wannabe." :-) This is from a few years ago. At work we did a goofy American Idol spoof for a company meeting, and I just HAD TO participate. :)
